Google will be launching their latest Pixel device – Pixel 8 series mobile phones at an event in New York City on October 4th. This event will be held 3 weeks from the Apple’s iPhone 15 launch event. Google has already sent out invitations to media outlets and tech bloggers/youtubers for the event which will start at 10 am EST. (7:30 pm IST)
There will be a live stream of this event on YouTube for those who cannot attend the event in person.
The flagship device of the Pixel 8 series is the Pixel 8 Pro; the design for it has already been leaked online which provided details on it’s design and camera layout. The Pixel 8 pro will have a 6.7 inch OLED display, a Tensor G3 processor, a 5,100 mAh bater and 64MP triple camera setup.
Apart from the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 phones, Google will announce their Pixel Watch 2. The Google Pixel watch will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset from their latest “W5” generation along with significant battery life improvements.
There is also speculation that Google could announce updates on their other hardware products like Pixel Buds A-Series and the Pixel Buds Pro. There will be no updates on the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablets which were recently shipped to the customers. There is no information on the Nest and Fibit products either.
Google has a strong marketing campaign for this event, with advertisements on their social media handles which invites people to sign up for updates on the Google store.
